Sony Pictures announced today that their upcoming Spider-man film, directed by Marc Webb, will be called The Amazing Spider-man.
Accompanying the release of the film's official name was the announcement of the launch of the movie's new website, theamazingspiderman-movie.com which features the first approved photo of Andrew Garfield in full web-slinger get-up as Spider-man. The look had already been revealed, however, from numerous spy camera shots and miscellaneous footage taken during filming in the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
The film, shot entirely in 3D, is scheduled for a July 3 release.
