Beverly Hills Cop (1984) - Continued Eddie Murphy's comedic run after his Saturday Night Live days. 48 Hours, then Trading Places, then Beverly Hills Cop. Enough to make a man rich for life.
Young Frankenstein (1974) - Another Mel Brooks/ Gene Wilder collaboration makes the list. A genuine comedy classic.
Duck Soup (1933) - If you've never seen a Marx Brothers comedy, this is the one to get you hooked. Watch the pioneers of comedy ply their craft.
Airplane! (1980) - An airplane crew takes ill. Surely the only person capable of landing the plane is an ex-pilot afraid to fly. But don't call him Shirley.
Shrek (2001) - The progenitor of the kid comedy filled with pop culture references thrown in to entertain the parents. True genius.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) - Watch it find out the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
The General (1926) - Arguably the first action-comedy epic in cinematic history. Although it opened to scathing reviews, the film is now widely considered one of the greatest silent movies ever made.
The Princess Bride (1987) - One of the best chick-flicks of all time?
Southpark: Bigger, Longer, Uncut (1999) - One of the rudest comedies you'll ever come across, but also one of the funniest.
Office Space (1999) - Brought a bit of levity to the cubicled work place, but more importantly, it spawned the desire for the red Swingline stapler.
