Netflix Finds

Since Netflix dropped Instant Watch on us a few years ago it has become the primary watching experience for a lot of movie watchers. Its extensive library houses a wide range of quality too. For every SyFy movie, there's an American classic. For every Phantoms, there's a Memento.

Netflix Finds will be your one stop shop for the best movies on Netflix streaming. Some are going to be well known to you, but some are also going to be out of left field compared to your regular watching experience. Netflix Finds will always have a rating (from us) of at least 3 stars or more. You'll get recommendations from all genres - foreign, classics, documentaries, even TV shows that may have only had one season. Come back often for a recommendation and if you feel so inclined, recommend one to us!

ANUSTART - Season Four of Arrested Development - Review

E-mail

Arrested Development - ReviewSeven years. It’s been seven long years since the Bluth family has been heard from. In those seven years, the United States - hell - the WORLD, has changed. I jumped on the Arrested Development bandwagon in 2008, after my boss at the bank dropped references to it. Back in ...

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Netflix Finds Movie Review

E-mail

Netflix Finds - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Perhaps it’s a little bit unfair to review a film that’s already quite adored by the public. On the one hand, anyone who has not seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind must be an anti-indie film sadist, or a detractor of the film’s essence due to it’s considerable hype. For me, ...

I Love You Phillip Morris - Netflix Finds Review

I Love You Phillip Morris - Netflix Finds Review It’s safe to say that by the 2000s Jim Carrey had lost a lot of what made him so excellent in the 90s. Gone were his iconic characters as the actor attempted to breach the drama reef and took on serious roles that were hit or miss. Starting in 2000 with ...

Slither (2006) Netflix Finds Review B-movie horror films have always been popular, so long as I've been watching movies that is. When I was younger Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers were the kings of horror. They possessed unique attributes and while the intelligence behind their plots was ...

Payback (1999) & Payback Straight Up: Director's Cut (2006) - Netflix Finds Review

E-mail

Payback - Netflix Finds Review Mel Gibson sucks. Note that well. Sucks. At one point he didn't. Take note of the year on this movie - 1999. At one point, after Y2K scares were over, something inside of Mel Gibson's head went off Manchurian Candidate style and assassinated his own career. As far as acting that is ...

The Thing (1982) - Netflix Finds Review

E-mail

The Thing (1982) Netflix Finds Review If it came out in the 1970s or 1980s and it has John Carpenter's name on it, I'm probably going to love it. While the horror genre has always been a big money maker, and a constant production line of memorable and non-memorable thrills, I feel the 1980s  ...

Night of the Hunter (1955) - Netflix Finds Review Just a few weeks ago I reviewed Swimming with the Sharks, one of the best Kevin Spacey character films from the last 20 years. The Apostle (1997) - Netflix Finds Review

E-mail

The Apostle - Netflix Finds Review During the 1990s, several once A-list actors took to the indie circuit. They lent their incredible star power to budding studios. These films were never going to be box office smashes. They'd have limited releases. But they were mostly quality films that hit on topics that ...

Drive (2011) - Netflix Finds Review

E-mail

Drive - Movie Review 2011 was owned by Ryan Gosling. He put out two great films, and one near perfect film. The formers - The Ides of March and Crazy, Stupid, Love were typical for their genre, but bolstered by performances and solid screenplays. Gosling was a star before these films ...
