Dreamgirls, Babel, Sunshine Top List of Academy Nominees

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - The musical DREAMGIRLS sits atop the list of contenders for the motion picture industry's most coveted prize with no fewer than eight nominations. The ensemble picture BABEL followed closely behind with seven noms, followed by the Spanish-language fairy-tale PAN'S LABYRINTH and the British Royals drama THE QUEEN with six noms each.

The 79th annual Academy Awards, the top honors in cinema, will take place on February 25 in Hollywood. Following is the complete list of nominees:
