They're back
and all grown up. I'm talking about Marty Kate & Ashley Olsen, the twins who were just babies when they got their acting careers started. They appeared on the '80s television sitcom Full House which starred John Stamos, and Bob Saget.
This time the girls are in their last year of high school and are making choices about their future. One of them plans to go to college abroad, and the other just wants to be in a Rock 'n' Roll band. The two girls couldn't be more different. Jane (Ashley Olsen) is studious, and conservative. Her entire life is planned out in a day-planner. On the other hand, her sister Roxy (Mary Kate) is looking for fun, skipping school, always needing adventure.
Truancy Officer Max Lomax (Eugene Levy) has made a personal mission out of nabbing the elusive Roxy, and he aims to complete his goal. But when Jane is to give the biggest speech of her life, her world collides with Roxy's and a trip to New York City is one wild and crazy ride.
While waiting on a train, someone slips a computer chip into one of the girls' pocketbooks. They miss the train after which a strange underworld limo driver (Andy Richtre) gives them a ride into town. They slip into a hotel to get away from him and find themselves on the run, wrapped in a towel, bathrobe and little else, carrying the Senator's dog.
These sugary sweet young actresses definitely know where their bread is buttered. They're not about to risk their squeaky-clean reputations by doing anything other than a tale that teenagers everywhere will enjoy. The twins are already a multi-million dollar conglomerate, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to do this movie? You can find plenty of their movies at your local video store, even though most of them weren't released on the big screen.
Plenty of celebrities hopped on this project including Darrell Hammond, Jack Osbourne, Andrea Martin, and Dr. Drew Pinsky
