After his subtle roles in Mr. Woodcock and The Promotion, Seann William Scott's attitude towards women, wine and weed seems a tad toned down in this film. However, Scott's crazed American Pie fans will appreciate the fact that he still manages to â"get some", once again.

As a salesman for the energy drink Minotaur, Wheeler (Scott), loves his job playing the brand's mascot alongside sales partner Danny (Paul Rudd). Although they make a great sales team, Danny doesn't appear to have the same enthusiasm. His overall pessimistic outlook on life even takes its toll on his relationship with legal advisor and girlfriend Beth (Elizabeth Banks). Sure enough, Danny is dumped by Beth, who incidentally has endured just about enough of his pathetic behavior. This doesn't help his next sales pitch when he encourages school kids to do drugs and warns them of how cruel life really is. Shortly after, Danny and Wheeler end up in a fight with a municipal authority for illegal parking, just before lunging their minotaur shaped vehicle into the school memorial.

Role ModelsSo it comes as no surprise when Beth gives them a hard choice; 30 days in jail or 150 hours of community service mentoring troubled kids. Opting for the latter, they end up at â"Sturdy Wings", a charity program for kids led by miss goody two shoes, Gayle Sweeny. A self proclaimed â"saved soul" herself, Gayle gives them the drill sergeant styled run down on behavioral policy expected from the duo. Wheeler is assigned Ronnie (Bobb'e J. Thompson), a hell raising, bad talking little devil, while Danny gets Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), a delusional sword wielding caped kid who thinks he's living in the dark ages.

Now, get ready for some fun, as this is where the laughs break out. Ronnie learns all about â"boobies" while Augie builds an army to slay the king of Xanthia.

As this film was targeted towards a general high school audience, the response was mostly positive. Scott and Rudd's on screen chemistry is comical as it is plausible. A hilariously fresh script including a tribute to KISS courtesy co-writer Rudd was one if it's redeeming qualities. Add to that some uproarious one-liners and director David Wain could be forgiven for trying to make an older audience believe that two idiots could be role models to deranged kids. Although profanity is rife, the moral proliferated is towards the open-mindedness of doing what makes you happy and achieving your goals without the use of drugs.
