Hoping to begin the post-Twilight phase of his career, Taylor Lautner will star in the forthcoming actioner from director John Singleton called Abduction. The film will also star Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina, Lily Collins, Maria Bello and Jason Isaacs.
Lautner will play a teen named Nathan who, after finding himself on a missing children's website, embarks on an action-filled quest - a la Jason Bourne - to discover his true identity. Of course, the closer he gets to the truth, the more his life - as well as that of others around him - is in danger.
Props to the guy for trying to break the Stephanie Meyer mold, but must say we're more interested in seeing Maria Bello go all chop-socky on somebody. Da-yum! Did you see that Shaolin center-kick to the heart?
The screenplay is by Shawn Stevenson and will be released by Lionsgate to theaters everywhere on September 23rd of this year.
