In front of this weekend's opening of Rango, DreamWorks Animation debuted the full-length official trailer for Kung Fu Panda 2, the follow-up to the highly successful first installment in the animated franchise that stars the voices of Jack Black and Angelina Jolie.
We're not big fans of sequels, reboots, and reimaginings, but what we see in the trailer from apple.com seems to carry the same heartfelt vibes from the first film. And looks like the action sequences may get a much healthier punch this time around. It also appears we'll get to see how Po's newfound fighting style meshes with that of the other five masters.
Here's to hoping DreamWorks isn't going down the same path of diminishing returns as it did with the Shrek franchise. We'll know in a few months.
